A short drive to your consultation

Broken Arrow is about 5 miles from Tulsa Surgical Arts, straight-line distance. Drive time will depend on your route and traffic, but the proximity matters most during the weeks after surgery, when you return for follow-up appointments. Our address is 7322 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74133. Free on-site parking sits right at the entrance, and on surgery day your driver can pull directly to the door for drop-off and pick-up.

We are open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can call us at 918-392-7900, text us, or book online. A first visit is a conversation, not a commitment. Bring a photo ID, your paperwork, and a list of every medication and supplement you take.

What breast augmentation actually involves

Breast augmentation adds size and shape to the breasts using implants. An implant is a soft shell filled with either salt water or silicone gel. It sits behind the breast tissue or behind the chest muscle. You and your surgeon choose the size and placement together during your visit. The goal is a shape that fits your frame, decided with you rather than for you.

In the operating room, the incision is most commonly placed within the natural fold beneath the breast. A precise pocket is created for the implant. Your surgeon evaluates placement, symmetry, and overall proportion before closing in layers, typically with dissolvable sutures. The procedure is usually outpatient, meaning you go home the same day.

Implants do not last a lifetime. Plan on additional surgery at some point in the future. That honest timeline is something we discuss at your consultation so you can make a fully informed decision.

Risks we discuss before your consult

Every surgery carries risks. A firm scar shell can form around the implant, a condition called capsular contracture. It can change the shape and cause discomfort. Surgery can correct it. An implant can also leak or break over time, and broken implants are replaced or removed.

Nipple sensation can change. It may increase, decrease, or go away entirely. Breastfeeding may be affected for some women. A very rare cancer of the scar tissue around certain implants has been reported. We go over every one of these risks with you in person. If you experience any emergency symptom after surgery, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room first, then contact our office.

Surgery day and the first 24 hours

After anesthesia, you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours. Your driver checks in with you, stays reachable by phone the entire day, and receives your discharge instructions in person.

Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. You will wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge to your driver. For patients traveling in, our private overnight guest suite is available — ask the consult team when you schedule.

Aftercare close to home

Living about 5 miles away means follow-up visits are straightforward. You will return to the office on a schedule your surgeon sets for your specific case. Those early check-ins let us monitor healing, answer questions, and adjust any instructions as you recover.

When any written instruction differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their guidance wins. Recovery is not identical for every patient. We tailor the plan to your anatomy, your procedure, and how your body heals. Our patient gallery shows real patients photographed the same way before and after, so you can see the range of outcomes we achieve. Individual results vary.

Why the practice behind the procedure matters

Tulsa Surgical Arts operates from an AAAHC-accredited surgery center. Our practice is home to an AACS-certified cosmetic surgery fellowship dedicated to training the next generation of surgeons. That teaching environment means every protocol is examined, refined, and held to a standard that benefits every patient on the table.

We encourage you to consult a qualified surgeon before making any surgical decision. A consultation at our office is a detailed, unhurried conversation about your anatomy, your goals, and whether breast augmentation is the right path for you.
