Cosmetic Surgery in Tulsa for Fort Smith, AR Patients
Fort Smith, AR sits about 97 miles from our practice — a drive that patients make when the surgeon, the facility, and the surgical plan matter more than proximity. Here is how to think through the trip, the consult, and the days after surgery.

Why Fort Smith patients make the drive
Choosing a cosmetic surgeon is a deeply personal decision. Some patients find the right fit close to home. Others decide that a specific surgeon's focus, training, or volume of experience warrants a trip. We see patients from communities across Oklahoma and well beyond state lines, including regional cities throughout Arkansas.
Tulsa Surgical Arts operates from an AAAHC-accredited surgery center led by Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, a past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a past president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. The practice focus spans rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring. Our nationally recognized cosmetic surgery fellowship trains the next generation of surgeons here, and that teaching culture shapes the care every patient receives.
Fort Smith is about 97 miles from the practice, straight-line. It is a drive — not a flight, not an overnight ordeal. Many of our regional patients tell us the distance felt smaller than they expected once they had a plan in place.
Starting the conversation: your consultation
Every surgical plan begins with a consultation. During this visit you meet your surgeon, discuss your goals, review your anatomy, and receive a candid assessment of what surgery can and cannot accomplish. There is no obligation. The goal is clarity — for you and for us.
For patients traveling from Fort Smith, our consult team can help coordinate timing so you make the most of your trip. You can reach us by phone at 918-392-7900, by text, or by booking online. Bring a photo ID, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, and any questions you have been collecting. Patient forms are available as PDFs on our site so you can print and fill them out ahead of time.
If a virtual conversation is a helpful first step, ask the team about options when you call. The in-person consultation remains essential before any surgical plan is finalized.
Planning your surgery day and overnight stay
Our practice is located at 7322 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74133. Free on-site parking is available, and you can pull directly to the entrance for surgery-day drop-off and pick-up. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
After anesthesia, you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours. For Fort Smith patients, our private overnight guest suite exists for exactly this situation. Ask the consult team about it when you schedule.
On surgery day, wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance. You arrive at the time confirmed for your specific case, go through pre-operative preparation, and have a final review with your surgeon and anesthesia provider.
Recovery away from home
You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge to your driver or upstairs to the guest suite when that is the plan. Your surgical team provides written discharge instructions, and your driver receives them in person as well.
Most patients who travel from Fort Smith find it helpful to stay in the Tulsa area for their first post-operative visit before heading home. The consult team will outline the follow-up schedule specific to your procedure so you can plan lodging and time away from work accordingly.
When any instruction on our site differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win. And if you experience any emergency symptom at any point in your recovery, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room first.
What the practice offers
