Why patients from Bartlesville choose Tulsa Surgical Arts
Tulsa Surgical Arts is a cosmetic and plastic surgery practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma, led by Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, MD, DDS. The practice operates from an AAAHC-accredited surgery center and is home to a nationally recognized cosmetic surgery fellowship. Our team of surgeons focuses on rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring, among other procedures.
Bartlesville sits about 49 miles from our doors — straight-line distance; drive time is not measured here, but it is a manageable drive by most accounts. That proximity means you can attend a consultation, return for surgery, and complete your follow-up visits without the complexity of air travel or extended hotel stays.
Dr. Cuzalina has performed over 18,000 procedures and has served as president of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He was recognized as Physician Surgical Innovator of the Year at THE Aesthetic Show in 2018 and holds the SRC Master Surgeon designation in both Face & Neck and Trunk, Breast & Extremities.
Your consultation: the first step
Every surgical plan begins with a consultation. You can call us at 918-392-7900, text us, or book online. Our hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For your first visit, bring a photo ID, a written list of every medication and supplement you take, and any completed patient forms.
During the consultation, your surgeon listens to your goals, examines the relevant anatomy, and explains what a procedure can and cannot accomplish. There is no rush. You leave with a clear understanding of the approach, the timeline, and the recovery expectations. If surgery is appropriate, the team walks you through preparation and scheduling.
Surgery day and the overnight guest suite
On surgery day, you arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team — it is set for your specific case, not a general clinic opening. Free on-site parking is available, and your driver can pull directly to the entrance for drop-off. After check-in and pre-operative preparation, you have a final review with your surgeon and anesthesia provider.
After anesthesia, you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult must drive you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours. For patients traveling from Bartlesville or elsewhere, our private overnight guest suite exists for exactly this purpose — ask the consult team when you schedule.
Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry, piercings, and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance on surgery day. Bring your phone and charger, and glasses with a case if you wear contacts.
Recovery and follow-up from Bartlesville
You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge to your driver or upstairs to the guest suite when that is the plan. Your surgical team provides detailed discharge instructions to both you and your driver in person before you leave.
Follow-up visits are part of every surgical plan. The drive from Bartlesville is short enough that returning for post-operative appointments is straightforward. When any instruction from our Patient Resource Center differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win. If you have questions between visits, call or text 918-392-7900.
