Cosmetic Surgery in Tulsa for Patients from McAlester
McAlester is about 76 miles from our practice — a drive, not a commute. Here is how patients from your community plan the trip, the surgery, and the recovery.

Why patients make the drive
Choosing a cosmetic surgeon is a personal decision. Some patients find the right fit nearby. Others decide that a surgeon's focus, training, or volume of experience is worth a trip. We see patients from communities across Oklahoma and well beyond state lines. The common thread is straightforward: each patient decided that the surgeon and the facility mattered more than proximity.
Tulsa Surgical Arts operates from an AAAHC-accredited surgery center in Tulsa. Dr. Angelo Cuzalina founded the practice with a focus on rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring. A team of six cosmetic surgeons works here, alongside a nationally recognized cosmetic surgery fellowship that trains the next generation of surgeons. That teaching culture shapes the care every patient receives.
Starting with a consultation
Every surgical plan begins with a consultation. During this visit you meet your surgeon, discuss your goals, review your anatomy, and receive a candid assessment of what surgery can and cannot accomplish. For patients driving from McAlester, the consult team can help coordinate timing so you make the most of your trip.
You can reach us by phone at 918-392-7900, by text, or by booking online. Our hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring a photo ID, your completed patient forms, and a written list of every medication and supplement you take. The forms are available as PDFs on our website so you can print and fill them out before you arrive.
A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. It is the right place to ask every question you have — about the procedure, the recovery timeline, and what to expect from your specific anatomy.
Planning surgery day and your stay
After anesthesia you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours. For patients traveling from McAlester, this is worth planning early. Our practice includes a private overnight guest suite designed for exactly this situation — ask the consult team when you schedule.
On surgery day, arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team. Wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. No makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance. You wake in recovery under one-to-one observation, then discharge to your driver or upstairs to the guest suite when that is the plan.
Free on-site parking is available, and your driver can pull directly to the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. The address is 7322 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74133.
Recovery and follow-up visits
Recovery timelines depend on the procedure. Your surgeon will outline a specific plan during your consultation and again before surgery. When any written instruction differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win.
Some patients from McAlester choose to stay in Tulsa for their first post-operative visit before heading home. Others return for follow-up appointments on a schedule set by their surgeon. The consult team can help you think through logistics so the drive fits comfortably into your healing timeline. If you ever experience an emergency symptom — difficulty breathing, chest pain, or signs of a serious complication — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room first. Then contact our office.
The practice behind the plan
Dr. Cuzalina is a past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a past president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He has performed over 18,000 procedures. In 2021 he received the SRC Master Surgeon designation in both Face & Neck and Trunk, Breast & Extremities. In 2018 he was named Physician Surgical Innovator of the Year at THE Aesthetic Show.
Our AAAHC-accredited surgery center meets the same accreditation standard used by many ambulatory surgical facilities nationwide. The fellowship program here means every technique is examined, refined, and held to evidence. That rigor is part of the environment whether you are a fellowship patient or a private patient — and whether you drive five miles or seventy-six.
