Cosmetic Surgery in Tulsa for Patients from Muskogee

Muskogee is about 36 miles from our practice — a drive that many patients make for the surgeon, the facility, and the team they want. Here is how to plan the trip from consultation through recovery.

Why patients from Muskogee choose Tulsa Surgical Arts

Choosing a cosmetic surgeon is a personal decision. Some patients find the right fit close to home. Others decide that a specific surgeon's focus, training, or volume of experience warrants a drive. Muskogee sits about 36 miles from our practice — straight-line distance, drive time not measured — and we see patients from communities across Oklahoma and well beyond.

Tulsa Surgical Arts operates from an AAAHC-accredited surgery center. Our team of six cosmetic surgeons is led by Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, a past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a past president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. The practice focus spans rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, complex revision surgery, and total-body contouring.

Our nationally recognized cosmetic surgery fellowship trains the next generation of surgeons here. That teaching culture means every technique is examined, refined, and held to evidence. It shapes the care every patient receives, whether they drive five miles or thirty-six.

Starting the conversation: your consultation

Every surgical plan begins with a consultation. During this visit you meet your surgeon, discuss your goals, review your anatomy, and receive a candid assessment of what surgery can and cannot accomplish. We encourage you to bring questions, reference photos, and a written list of every medication and supplement you take.

For Muskogee patients, the drive is manageable enough for a dedicated consultation visit. Our consult team can help coordinate timing so you make the most of your trip. The practice is located at 7322 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74133. Free on-site parking is available, and you can pull directly to the entrance.

Planning surgery day and your first 24 hours

After anesthesia you may not drive yourself home, take a rideshare alone, or leave unaccompanied. A responsible adult drives you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours. Your driver checks in with you, stays reachable by phone for the entire day, and receives your discharge instructions in person.

For patients traveling from Muskogee, our private overnight guest suite exists for exactly this situation. You recover under one-to-one observation, then discharge to your driver or upstairs to the guest suite when that is the plan. Ask the consult team about the suite when you schedule.

On surgery day, wear loose, front-opening clothing and slip-on shoes. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. Arrive at the time confirmed by the surgical team — it is set for your specific case, not a general clinic opening.

Recovery and follow-up from Muskogee

Most follow-up visits are brief. The drive from Muskogee is short enough that returning for post-operative checks is straightforward. Your surgical team will set a follow-up schedule specific to your procedure and your healing.

If any concern arises between visits, our team is reachable by phone or text at 918-392-7900. When any instruction in our patient resources differs from what your surgical team tells you directly, their instructions win. For any emergency symptom, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room first.

What to expect at our facility

Our AAAHC-accredited surgery center meets the same accreditation standard used by many ambulatory surgical facilities nationwide. The practice is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Text and phone communication are both welcome.

Dr. Cuzalina founded this practice with a specific philosophy: prioritize safety, preserve what makes each patient uniquely themselves, and create natural-looking results with meticulous attention to every detail. That standard applies whether your concern is a rhinoplasty, a facelift, a revision of prior surgery, or body contouring. Consult a qualified surgeon to determine what is right for you.
