Dr. Tolomeo began his educational journey at St. John’s University, where he received his Bachelor of Biology and Physical Science. While at St. John’s University, he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Following his undergraduate work, Dr. Tolomeo attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree. This training allowed him to develop and enhance his fine motor skills while strengthening his keen eye for detail.
He then attended residency at NYU Langone/Bellevue Hospital Center, earning his medical degree, a general surgery internship, and an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. During this time, his passion for cosmetic surgery flourished, propelling him to seek additional training.
Dr. Tolomeo further advanced his training with a general body and facial cosmetic surgery fellowship with the renowned Dr. Angelo Cuzalina at Tulsa Surgical Arts. During his fellowship, he completed nearly 2,000 major surgical procedures focusing on Brazilian butt lifts, high-definition liposuction for males and females, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, breast augmentation and lifts, and facial rejuvenation.
As an associate professor at Bellevue Hospital Center, Dr. Tolomeo understands the importance of continuing and growing the field of cosmetic surgery. He enjoys working with the surgery residents, helping them expand their surgical skills, particularly in cosmetic surgery. In addition to teaching, Dr. Tolomeo has authored numerous book chapters and articles involving facial and body cosmetic surgery. After consultations and researching plastic surgeons for almost a year I narrowed down to him. I knew at my consultation that he was the one I wanted to go with and his work is what I wanted for my body. I compared him to other plastic surgeons before and after pics and also loved his low incision lines and cute belly buttons. He definitely over delivered! Missi and Rebecca are the sweetest! Kaylee the post op nurse is amazing! My two nurses Kinsey and Lindsey are 100% the best. Kinsey was there from the beginning until the end, she took the time to make me feel at ease before my surgery started and answered all my questions. They were both so sweet and happy when I woke up, I felt how excited they were for me. The anesthesiologist was nice & also made me feel comfortable. So thankful for Dr T and his entire team!
My experience at Tulsa surgical arts was top notch. Dr. Tolomeo did an excellent job from start to finish. The staff was always so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend this place!
From our very first zoom/FaceTime meeting with Dr. Tolomeo, I felt 1000% comfortable and heard. His personality is warm and friendly and he always takes time to make sure you feel valued and to listen to your concerns and the things you want out of a cosmetic surgery, but also he makes sure to recommend things that will give you the best results. I would 10/10 times recommend him! I had a gender-affirming surgery, a rather uncommon surgery for this establishment, but all who I came into contact with welcomed me openly, respectfully, and treated me as a valued patient. I am very thankful for Dr. T, and all the staff of Tulsa Surgical Arts and feel very grateful to have picked such an amazing place for a surgery.
Truly amazing from the first consult until my PO appointments and care! Dr. Tolomeo and staff are incredibly supportive and helpful throughout every decision making and planning! I went to several consults seeking the best doctor and I have no doubt I chose the best one for me! I wanted ME back and what I got was a BETTER version of what I expected! Love this team! High recommend him!
