Taking about 2 – 4 hours to complete, we perform a breast lift using general anesthesia. The duration of this procedure depends on the severity of your breast sag. Generally, Dr. Cuzalina will select from two different types of incision techniques, including the anchor (inverted-T) or straight line. After making the incision, any excess skin, tissue, or fat is carefully trimmed away. The remaining skin is tightened and the breasts are lifted so they appear younger-looking and healthier. In many cases, the size of the areola is reduced, which makes it look proportionate to the rest of the breast. At this point, we can insert an implant or fat transfer.
