How Is A Cheek Augmentation Performed?

Dermal Filler Injections
We can complete injectable dermal filler sessions in about 20 – 30 minutes. Before the treatment, we will mark the injection sites and clean the skin to remove any oils or lotions. Next, the dermal filler is injected into the cheeks and gently massaged to help your results look even. Following the treatment, you can leave and get back to your daily routine.
Cheek Implants
Cheek augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure in one of our on-site operating rooms. After administering anesthesia, Dr. Cuzalina makes thin incisions in your upper gums, and he creates a pocket over the cheekbones. Next, we insert and securely place the implants with one or two small titanium screws. This will ensure they do not migrate. After inserting the implants, we close the incisions with sutures. Taking around an hour, patients can return home after the procedure, but they should have a responsible adult drive them home.
